The Chinese Telecommunications company, ZTE has launched a new smartphone in its Blade series called Blade A1. The company claims the handset as the world’s cheapest smartphone to feature a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone costs 599 yuan or $94 approximately.
The ZTE Blade A1 features a 5-inch HD display. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with the custom MiFavor 3.2 skin on top, and is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6735 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Besides, it has 16 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 64 128 GB through a microSD card slot. The main highlight of the ZTE Blade A1 is that it features a fingerprint sensor back side.
On the camera front, the device is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfie. The dimension of the handset is 142×70.2×8.9 mm. Moreover, the ZTE Blade A1 is fuelled by a 2800mAh battery and comes in Dream Green, Cool Blue, Smart White, Vibrant Yellow and Space Grey colour variants.
