The Chinese company Xiaomi has reduced price for its first generation tablet- the Mi Pad in India by Rs 2,000. Now, the Xiaomi Mi Pad will be available for Rs 10,999 from the company’s website and Flipkart. The tablet comes in Red, Blue, Black, White, Green and Yellow colour variants.
The Xiaomi MiPad comes with a 7.9-inch QXGA IPS Retina display resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device runs on MIUI 6 and is powered by a 2.2GHz K1 NVIDIA Tegra processor with 192-core Kepler GPU, along with 2 GB of RAM. In addition, it packs 16 GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi MiPad is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with a Sony BSI sensor together with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an OmniVision sensor. Both cameras feature an f/2.0 aperture. While, in terms of connectivity, the device includes Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band WiFi 802.11/b/g/n/ac.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi MiPad is fuelled by a 6700mAh Lithium-ion Polymer battery. The dimension of the tablet is 135.4×202.1×8.5 mm and weighs 360 grams.
