The Japanese consumer electronics major Sony has launched a new Android smart phone- Xperia M5 Dual in India at a price of RS.37,900. The Xperia M5 Dual, as the name suggests, is a dual-SIM smart phone which comes with a bright, sharp and vivid 12.7 cm Full HD display. One of the main features of the smart phone is, it has IP65 and IP68 certification for dust and water-resistance.
The device is Powered by a 2GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor along with 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. In terms of storage, the Xperia M5 Dual has 16 GB of in-built memory which is further expandable up to 200 GB with the help of microSD cards. On the camera front, the device sports a 21.5-MP rear camera with Hybrid autofocus and LED flash together with a 13-MP front-facing camera. Besides, the camera is loaded with 4K video recording, 5x image zoom, auto scene recognition, image stabilizer and geo-tagging features.
In terms of connectivity, the 4G-enabled Xperia M5 Dual supports 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GLONASS, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB and GPS. In addition, the device is backed by a 2600mAh battery. The Xperia M5 Dual will be available in black and gold colours at Sony Smartphone Lounges, Sony Centers and all leading retail outlets across the country.
