Samsung Galaxy Star has a lucrative price of Rs 5890

Samsung has added its cheapest , Galaxy ‘ Star ‘ phone , intensifying the smartphone price war in India.The new budget Galaxy phone is priced Rs 5,240.This phone is the cheapest galaxy smartphone launched till yet and seems to take on Nokia’s Asha series which is also budget range of smartphone’s by Nokia.Apart from this phone , Galaxy Y for Rs 5,890 , is the second cheapest handset by Samsung.

In the last few months the mobile market has witnessed fierce competition in entry-level smartphone segment especially from younger players like Micromax , Karbonn , Spice and Idea.

Samsung which displaced Nokia in India with aggresive ad campaign and wide range of handsets , now aims , in lower end smartphone’s market and with this launch it wants the feature phone users to switch over to smartphone with lucrative pricing of Galaxy ‘Star’.

Talking about this device , it is an android 4.1 phone which runs on A5 1GHz processor.The phone uses Jelly Bean version.The phone has dual-sim capacity which lets you place two sim cards in a single phone.The display is three-inches with capacitive touch screen.The phone comes with 512 MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory.There is a 2 Megapixel Camera which seems satisfactory considering the price and brand value.The phone is launched in two colors – Black and White

The smart phone’s is a promising segment for phone manufacturer’s due to its growth rate of 36 % .Samsung is the leader in smartphone segment with 43 % share apart from Nokia (13.3 per cent) and Sony (8.2 per cent)
