Samsung has launched a new budget smart phone- the Galaxy Active Neo. The smart phone for the time being is limited to Japan and there is no word on its availability outside the country yet. The Galaxy Active Neo would be sell through Indian carrier NTT DoCoMo in early November 2015 priced at JPY 20,000 or approximately RS.10,800.
This rugged smart phone runs on Android 5.1 lollipop operating system. It features a 4.5-inch WVGA resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Besides, it has 16GB of inbuilt memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the plus side, users would also get 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage for 2 years.
In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. Additionally, it has Compass, Accelerometer and Proximity sensor. On the camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. This smart phone is backed by a 2200 mAh battery. Its dimension is 133x70x10.1mm and weighs 154 grams. The smart phone will be available in Camo White and Solid Black colours.
