Ricoh India has announced its handheld 360-degree camera called the Theta S at an event in Mumbai. The price for Ricoh Theta S will start at Rs 39,995 from December 14, 2015 onwards. Interested buyer can pre-book the Theta S for Rs 35,995 by paying Rs 7,199 upfront and the remaining amount later on Ricohestore. In addition, It will be selling also on Amazon as well as with select Ricoh dealers across the country.
The Ricoh Theta S comes with dual 1/2.3-inch 12-MP sensors which give a 14-MP equivalent output. Both camera sensors of the Ricoh Theta S are fixed with wide angle fish eye lenses with an f/2.0 aperture. Users can shoot full HD videos at 25fps or 30fps for a 25 mins and at the same time, users can upload its spherical images to theta 360.com and share through various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Furthermore, it can be posted to Google Maps, Google+ and YouTube 360° Channel. The Theta app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple Store.
The Ricoh Theta S has 8 GB of internal storage however it does not have microSD card slot. It is powered by built in Lithium ion battery by which Approximately 260 photos can be taken. Moreover, its dimension is 44 X 130 X 22.9 mm and weighs 125 gram.
