Reliance Jio Infocomm is finally going to begin its 4G service from December 27, nevertheless, initially, its 4G service will only be for group employees across the country. It is expected that the commercial launch of the 4G service of Reliance Jio Infocomm will start from April 2016. The limited launch is being observed as part of Reliance Founder Dhirubhai Ambani’s 83rd birth anniversary on December 28.
In the first phase, the commercial launch of the 4G service of Reliance Jio Infocomm will begin in these cities- Ahmedabad, Baroda, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi and Jamnagar.
The company could adopt the VoLTE network to support voice calls on the 4G network. It has accumulated airwaves in the 1800MHz band and 800MHz band and may sign spectrum sharing and trading deals with Reliance Communications for further 800 Mhz airwaves.
“We are happy to share that we will unveil Jio to our colleagues first, on the eve of our founder chairman’s birth anniversary,” said the invitation emailed to the group’s more than 20,000 employees from Chairman Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita Ambani
