Indian handset maker Micromax, ,which launched Yu Yureka Plus in India on July 20 has slashed the price of the Yureka Plus. It will be now available at Rs. 8,999, down from its launch price tag of Rs. 9,999 a Rs 1,000 price cut. According to the company, Amazon.in will credit a gift voucher of Rs 1,000 in next days to all the existing Yureka Plus users.
Yu Yureka Plus features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. The device uses Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The smartphone runs on a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939) clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled along with Adreno 405 GPU, and 2GB RAM.
The device runs on Cyanogen OS 12, based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It offers dual-SIM support, with slots for Micro-SIM cards (4G+3G). Yureka Plus also features Cat. 4 4G LTE connectivity.
On the camera front it has a 13 MP autofocus camera with an LED flash and a front-facing 5 MP fixed-focus camera. At the same time, it comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and microSD card support which is expandable up to 32GB with a 2500mAh battery.
