Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has announced at his keynote session at the company’s Future Unleashed event in Mumbai that the Surface Pro 4 tablet will be launching in India in January 2016. Nevertheless, no details regarding exact launch date and price have been revealed by the company.
The Surface Pro 4 comes with a 12.3-inch PixelTouch display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Surface Pro 4 is powered by Windows 10 Pro, and runs on the 6th generation Intel Core M, Core i5 or Core i7 processors aided by 4 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. Additionally, the device offers SSD storage options ranging from 128 GB to 1TB. In addition, it comes with TPM chip for enterprise security.
The Surface Pro 4 sports an 8-MP autofocus rear-facing camera to take stunning pictures and video. And, its 5-MP HD front-facing camera is excellent for video conference. Besides, it has Stereo speakers with Dolby audio.
On the connectivity front, the device includes Headset jack, Wi-fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Finger print scanner, a full size USB 3.0 port and so on. It also includes Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Magnetometer. While, the battery lasts up to 9 hours so users can work uninterrupted. It measures 292.10 x 201.42 x 8.45 mm and weighs 766 grams.
On the plus side, the Surface Pro 4 comes with the Surface Pen. In fact, with Palm Block technology and 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, the Surface Pen gives users a surprisingly natural way to mark-up documents and take notes in their own handwriting. Furthermore, users can click and hold the top of the Surface Pen to activate Cortana.
