Microsoft's cheapest 4G smartphone Lumia 550 unveiled for RS 9399

Microsoft has launched its first cheapest smartphone- the Lumia 550 in India. The smartphone comes in glossy white and matte black colours with a price tag of Rs. 9,399.

The Microsoft Lumia 550 comes with a polycarbonate shell body and flaunts a 4.7-inch HD LCD display. The smartphone runs on Windows 10 operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.1GHz along with Adreno 304 GPU.

At the same time, the Microsoft Lumia 550 packs 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory which can further be expanded up to 200 GB via a microSD card.

Regarding camera, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with f/2.4 and LED flash. Besides, it sports a 2-megapixel f/2.8 front camera for taking selfie.

In terms of connectivity, the Microsoft Lumia 550 supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1. Moreover, the smartphone is backed by a 2,100mAh battery which provides up to 15 hours of talk-time.
