Microsoft launches Lumia 950 & 950 XL with 20-MP camera

Microsoft Corp has launched its latest smart phones- Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The Lumia 950 is priced at $549 or approximately RS. 35,800 whereas the Lumia 950 XL is priced at $649 or approximately RS. 42,300. Both are expected to available from November. These smart phones come with several Windows 10 programs and features such as; Microsoft Office, Cortana, Windows Store and so on.

The Lumia 950 sports a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. This smart phone is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. While, the 950 XL features a 5.7-inch QHD ClearBlack Amoled display. This smart phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Both devices have 32GB storage which can be further expanded with the help of a microSD card.

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL- both devices would run on Microsoft’s Windows10 OS. On the camera front, both smart phones come with 20-MP rear camera with autofocus, an f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilisation and a triple-LED RGB flash module. Besides, both have 5-MP front-facing camera also.   

In terms of connectivity, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G and NFC. Additionally, both have gyroscope, ambient light sensor, barometer, accelerometer, proximity sensor and magnetometer sensors.

On the battery front, the Lumia 950 is backed by a 3000mAh battery whereas 950 XL comes with a 3,340mAh battery.
