Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Oppo has unveiled a new entry level smartphone Oppo A33 in China. The Oppo A33 is priced at $ 235 or CNY 1,499 or Rs 15,500 approximately. The handset is available to buy through the company’s store in the country. However, the company has not revealed its global availability by now.
The Oppo A33 comes with a 5-inch TFT display with a pixel density of 220ppi. The dual-SIM based device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based on the company’s ColorOS 2.1 out of the box. The smartphone is powered by 1.2Ghz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SOC aided by 2 GB of RAM. Additionally, it bears 16 GB of built-in storage that is further expandable up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card.
On the photography front, the device sports an 8-MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-MP front facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls. The dimension of the handset is 42.7×71.7×7.5 mm and weighs 146 grams.
In terms of connectivity, the Oppo A33 supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack. Besides, it has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The device is backed by a 2400mAh battery which delivers up to 250 hours of stand-by time and up to 8 hours of talk-time, as the company claims.
