Intex launches latest smartphone ‘Aqua Star 4G’ with iData Saver & 5-inch HD display

The domestic smartphone maker Intex has launched latest smartphone- the Aqua Star 4G in its Aqua series. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,499. The handset is available in Black, Grey and White colour variants.

The main highlight of the Intex Aqua Star 4G is its iData Saver feature which is powered by Opera Max. Intex has become first Indian company by launching Opera Max’s functionality into its smartphone, as the company claims. In point of fact, with the iData Saver feature users can save data consumption by up to 50% on images, webpages and streaming via apps such as Instagram, Gaana, YouTube and Saavn.

The Intex Aqua Star 4G comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor aided by 1GB of RAM. At the same time, it packs 8 GB of inbuilt storage and 32 GB microSD card slot.

Regarding camera, the Intex Aqua Star 4G houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and selfie clicks. On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM based smartphone offers 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE and Micro-USB.

Furthermore, the device is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The dimension of the handset is 143 x 72.6 x 9 mm and weighs around 150 grams.
