Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Gionee has launched Gionee Marathon M5 Lite smartphone in its Marathon series. The smartphone is listed on the China web site of the business at a price tag of CNY 999 or Rs. 10,000 approximately. However, the company has not declared the global availability of the smartphone by now.
The main highlight of the smartphone is its huge 4000mAh Li-Po battery, which delivers up to 40 hours of talk time, 39 days of standby time, 68 hours of music playback and 3 days of regular use, according to the company.
The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite sports a 5-inch HD IPS display. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Amigo 3.0 and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. In addition, the device has16 GB of internal storage, which can further be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of a microSD card.
On the camera front, the device houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with several features such as autofocus, LED-flash and CMOS sensor. Besides, it also flaunts a 5-megapixel front camera.
From the connectivity point of view, the dual-SIM based Gionee Marathon M5 Lite supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, micro-USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headset jack. Furthermore, it includes Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and gravity sensor. The dimension of the handset is 143×69.9×8.5mm and weighs 182 grams.
