Gionee launches new budget smartphone Pioneer P3S with Android 5.1 Lollipop

Chinese phone manufacturer Gionee has launched a new budget smart phone the Gionee Pioneer P3S in India. In fact, it is an upgraded version of Pioneer P3 model that was launched a few years back. The handset is priced at RS. 5,999 and will be available from this week. 

The Gionee Pioneer P3S features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and backed by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built memory, which is further expandable up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card.

The beautifully designed with metal plating bright lines Gionee Pioneer P3S runs on advanced Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the Amigo 3.1 skin on top. The camera section of the device comes with a 5-MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-MP front camera for selfie. On the battery front, the handset backed by a 2,000mAh battery and has a new feature called an extreme mode which is enable the last 10 percent of battery power to potentially last for some more time.  

On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM Pioneer P3S includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and Micro-USB. The handset will be available in White, Grey, Red, and Golden colours.
