Asus, the Taiwanese multinational electronics and computer hardware company, which has announced its 4G enabled smartphone- the ZenFone Max with a huge 5000mAh battery earlier, is now available for purchase at Rs 9,999. The Asus ZenFone Max can be purchased via both online and offline retailers. In addition, it is also available across all ASUS exclusive outlets. The handset comes in White and Black colours.
The main highlight of the Asus ZenFone Max is its long-lasting 5000mAh lithium polymer non removable battery, which provides up to 38 hours of talk time, 72.9 hours of music playback, 22.6 hours of video playback, 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi Web browsing and up to 914 hours of stand-by time, according to the company. On the plus side, it can also be used to charge other compatible devices via USB OTG.
The device features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display and is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with Adreno 306 GPU. The Asus ZenFone Max runs on ZenUI 2.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and houses 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of in-built storage, that is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card slot.
The camera section of the Asus ZenFone Max comes with a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with several features like laser autofocus, dual-LED flash and dual-tone. Besides, it sports too a 5 Mega Pixel front facing camera with the support of 85-degree wide angle of view.
While, in terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM based device supports 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GLONASS, A-GPS, BDS with Google Maps, Bluetooth v4, GPRS/ EDGE, microUSB v2.0 and FM Radio. Apart from these, it also includes eCompass, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Hall Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. The handset measures 156.00 x 77.50 x 10.55 mm and weighs 202 grams.
