ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser launched with 6-inch display and 13MP camera

The Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company, Asus has launched the Zenfone 2 Laser in India at the ZenFestival. The Asus ZenFone 2 Laser is priced at Rs 17,999 and is currently available only online via e-commerce websites Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart. At the same time, the device will be also available from offline channels from the second week of December. The handset comes in Glacier Gray, Glamour Red and Sheer Gold colour variants.

The Asus ZenFone 2 Laser comes with a 6-inch full-HD IPS display and sports scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The dual-SIM enabled smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with Zen UI 2.0 on top and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. In addition, the device comes with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, together with 32 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB  with the help of a microSD card. On the plus side, Asus is offering free 5 GB of ASUS Web storage for lifetime and 100 GB of Google Drive space for two years.      

On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and amazing Dual Tone LED flash. Besides, it houses a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. In terms of connectivity, the 4G LTE supported handset includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Micro USB 2.0, GPS/GLONASS, A-GPS and a 3.5mm headset jack port. Moreover, it offers Gyroscopes, Accelerometer, Compass and Proximity sensors. The device is fuelled by a Li-Po 3000mAh battery. The overall dimensions of the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser are 164.55 x 84 x 10.55 mm and it weighs around 190 grams.
