Indian tablet and smartphone manufacturer DataWind, which is known more as the maker of Akash tablet, has recently launched a budget tablet- 7SC in the country. The Datawind 7SC tablet is priced at Rs. 2,999 and will be available online via Snapdeal. Apart this, the tablet will also be available on Den Snapdeal TV-Shop.

At the same time, the company offers free Internet browsing for one year. For this, DataWind has tied up with RCom and Telenor networks, which will provide the prepaid GSM SIM for the Datawind 7SC tablet.

The tablet features a 7-inch display with a screen resolution of 800x480p and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. The dual-SIM based Datawind 7SC packs a 1.3 GHz single core MediaTek processor aided by 512 MB of RAM. Additionally, it has 4 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.

In terms of connectivity, the tablet supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n and micro-USB. Moreover, the tablet houses a rear VGA camera. The Datawind 7SC tablet is backed by a 2400mAh battery.
