The world’s third largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Thursday launched its 4G services commercially in 296 towns across the country.Airtel 4G services had already launched 4G on trial basis since April 2012. Kolkata was the first city to get such high speed data.Presently, 14 cities- Pune, Bengaluru, Nagpur, Nasik, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Phagwara, Patiala, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Panchkula and Mohali- have Airtel 4G network besides Kolkata. And with the launch in 296 cities across the country, Airtel 4G is now available in 310 Indian towns and cities.
According to the company, to opt for Airtel 4G, customers have to switch to a 4G SIM.The subscribers can purchase 4G data packs at a minimum price of RS 25.Airtel is offering six months of unlimited music streaming and downloads on ‘Wynk Music’ with every SIM card you exchange for 4G one.In addition to this 5 free movies per month for 6 months on the Eros Now channel.In addition, The company has also introduced a new range of ‘Infinity Plans’ starting Rs.999 with unlimited voice calls on mobile and access to ‘Wynk Movies’.
Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including dongles, mobile phones, 4G hotspots, and Wi-Fi dongles. The company has also announced a new platform called Flexpage that will allow customers to track their data usage and get real time usage alerts.
Further, new customers can place an order for the delivery of 4G SIM card at their door.Airtel promises to deliver the SIM card in less than 4 hours.
