The Taiwanese tech company Acer has announced a convertible notebook- the Aspire R 14. The notebook will first launch in North America and Europe in late October with a starting price of $699 or approximately RS. 45,300. The notebook will come with Windows 10 pre-installed and a good touchpad.
The Aspire R 14 sports a unique 360°hinge design by which users can get four mode positions- Laptop, Tablet, Display and Tent. The laptop will feature a 14-inch display which is much comfortable for users to watch movies or for collaborative purposes.
The notebook includes Intel’s Core i5-4210U and a dedicated NVidia GeForce 820M graphics solution. The graphics card has a core rate of 625 MHz and it is principally located in the low performance category of dedicated graphics cards.
On the memory front, the Aspire R 14 has 1 TB HDD and 8 GB of working memory that operates in dual-channel mode. In addition, the device includes MU-MIMO wireless technology for faster connection speeds. It allows up to three times faster downloads especially in crowded networks. The notebook includes a 720p camera for video conferencing.
Moreover, the Acer Aspire R 14 is equipped with a 4-cell lithium-ion battery which has a capacity of 53.4 Wh. It lasts up to 7.5 hours. The notebook measures 10.5 x 6.5 cm and weighs just 1.9 kg.
