Vodafone begins 4G services in Kochi

One of the world’s largest telecom operators Vodafone has finally started its own 4G network in the country. The company has started 4G services in the southern Indian city of Kochi and further plans to launch in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata by March next year.

Vodafone offers several plans which range from a trial pack of 120 MB at Rs 29 to a bonanza pack of 20 GB at Rs 2499. In addition, the company also offers free Unlimited movie subscription via Vodafone’s partnership with Hungama Play. It gives access to more than 7500 titles for 3 months. At the same time, free unlimited music streaming is also being offered by Vodafone. It boasts more than 1.2 million songs.

Now that, Kerala is a focus market for Vodafone India hence, the company had spent over Rs 700 crore in Kerela towards network expansion and modernization for 3G and 4G in the last 18 months.

Here it is worth-mentioning that to access Vodafone 4G, users’ device must be compatible with 4G network. Besides, users also need to replace their older SIM card. Whereas, early 4G device needs a software update to enable 4G.
